It kind of tastes like salami but not really. It has its own taste which I like. High in salt, 370 mg per 5 slices, but if you use say two slices per sandwich and eat two sandwiches per day, with a lot of greens of course, your salt intake will not be too high, assuming you don't add salt at other meals. It is a good choice to replace meat or cheese. Low fat, good source of protein, iron and B12. -R
