CARTA lectures by Margaret Schoeninger, Alyssa Crittenden and Richard Wrangham. It seems that while we are and have been meat eaters, it was much less of our diet than we think and it carries some very bad consequences over time. Also, fire plays an important part of our capacity to utilize food efficiently. Worth a watch. -R
I am sure no one needs to explain our planet's toxic plastic pollution to you. This discovery may turn out to be a real help in controlling and maybe one day eliminating the problem in conjunction to switching over to more sustainable, nontoxic alternatives to plastic. Staff news article from The Guardian. -R
Old school lecture and tape (2011) by Milton Mills, M.D. but I haven't seen the subject explained in such a common sense, scientific way yet. Get through the introduction and you will be well rewarded. Longish but well worth sitting down and watching. -R
"Dr. McDougall was kicked out of the Obesity Medicine Conference. But he's one of the leading weight loss experts in the world. What happened???" Very good, short video form VegSource. -R

Excellent lecture from Dr. Richard Wrangham, Professor at Harvard University and co-director of the Kibale Chimpanzee Project. Supported by the Leakey Foundation. Everyone should take the time to watch this video. Very persuasive data and arguments. -R
Or so says Mic the Vegan. Mic (pronounced Mike) the Vegan produces a Youtube channel and does a great job of keeping everyone abreast of the healthiest food lifestyle. He is very funny and very science based. Go ahead and like and subscribe to support him. Well worth it. He also has a Patreon account for your support. This is a ten minute video that is very convincing on the subject. If you want the full TEDx from Dr. John McDougall, I have a link to that also. - R

This is the diet I follow. The doctor has some Youtube videos out that you can watch to get an idea of what he recommends. He also has a book. I started vegan about four months ago but after watching his video I immediately dropped oils and nuts. He recommends: no meat, no foul, no fish, no dairy, no oils and no nuts. And no avocado. Watch his video on Youtube and you will understand how he came to his diet conclusions via the clinical experiment he personally conducted. -R
